1. Why do you actually require my SSN?
2. How will you secure my social security number from being unnecessarily used or identity theft?
3. What if I refused to give my SSN as you requested?

If the company provides sensible answers to these entire SS#, then it’s okay! But if they don’t, you better refuse to let them know your social security number.
